Weekend Escapade: Bakam Forest Reserved

Some of the flora found nearby the Bakam Forest Reserved in Miri, Sarawak. A 20 minutes drive from Miri city towards south, one need to turn left to Kampung Bakam before entering the rubber estate and tropical fruits orchard. A 2 hours and 30 minutes jungle trekking through thin rainforest, small rivers, swamp plateau and hilly route. One may find some species of ferns and palms surrounding the area, including the giant fern, red-stem palm, pinang - areca catecu, wild banana tree, wild orchids, monkey-cups, bird nest fern, tongkat ali or eurycoma longifolia etc. At the end of the trekking, one can find a tall and beautiful waterfall.

Bandung
Left to right clockwise: Government building 'Gedung Sate', Cihampelas walk, Nasi Timbel and Villa Puri Larasati.
Cream Bath - is a traditional Indonesian way of massaging the scalp. Your head has many acupressure points. The practitioner slowly massages your head along these energy pathways using their fingers. This improves your body's blood circulation, relieves eye strain, relaxes stiff shoulders and even reduces dullness and swelling in your face.

Tangkuban Prahu

The story tells of "Dayang Sumbi", a beauty who lived in West Java. She cast away her son "Sangkuriang" for disobedience, and in her sadness was granted the power of eternal youth by the gods. After many years in exile, Sangkuriang decided to return to his home, long after the two had forgotten and failed to recognize each other. Sangkuriang fell in love with Dayang Sumbi and planned to marry her, only for Dayang Sumbi to recognize his birthmark just as he was about to go hunting. In order to prevent the marriage from taking place, Dayang Sumbi asked Sangkuriang to (1) build a dam on the river Citarum and (2) build a large boat to cross the river, both before the sunrise. Sangkuriang meditated and summoned mythical ogre-like creatures -buta hejo or green giant(s)- to do his bidding. Dayang Sumbi saw that the tasks were almost completed and called on her workers to spread red silk cloths east of the city, to give the impression of impending sunrise. Sangkuriang was fooled, and upon believing that he had failed, kicked the dam and the unfinished boat, resulting in severe flooding and the creation of Tangkuban perahu from the hull of the boat.

Jalan Kenayakan Lama, Blok A No. 40 Dago - Bandung 40135. Telefon (022) 253 3370, 253 3482/83, Fax (022) 253 3507. email: purilarasati@yahoo.com

Nak ke mana tu?

luggage

Be My Valentine...............

heart

I was on my way back from breakfast this morning when my handphone ringing, "Mister Rush... I'm waiting outside your office, wanted to deliver order... where are you?"... "What order? ok I'll be there in five minutes time"... grumbled to my friend sitting next to me "Goshhh... this bloody people, I thought they already sent everything over on last delivery, thought everything already in the warehouse and now...bla...bla...bla...!!!". Get out of the car, saw from afar a man carrying a basket full of beautiful flowers... approaching him and try to be busybody "wahhh... somebody got Valentine's gift aight?... who is that lucky person?, so romantic..." The man smiling (or ignoring) back at me. I rushed to the lobby and ask the Security Officer if there's anybody looking for me.... he answered "ohh!.. that guy standing outside with the flowers... you got Valentine's present from you wife aight?"..... simple reply "No, I'm still single and that's from my lover"... * sigh.....

gerberas

I can't remember if I ever received any Valentine's Bouquet or something like that. I normally celebrate it with my friends and family, go for a nice and decent dinner etc. This is something extra-ordinary I would say. A huge basket with full of yellow Gerberas, Bird of Paradise and red fillers. And not only flowers.............

val perfume 2

Inside that huge basket, there is a green box with a Givenchy logo on it. I thought that it must be eau de toilette, yup I was right... 'Very Irresistible' Givenchy for men plus a baume apres rasage protecteue matifiant. I loooovvvve the smell indeed, very masculine woody spices... this is me...my smell....my liking. I'm getting excited!!!

val card 2

A small card with 'Pods & Petals' Giftlab logo (the Company own by our Biduanita Negara, Datuk Sharifah Aini) attached to the box, and when I open the box, there's another red envelope with Hallmark embossed on it.... a Valentine's Greeting card - sweet and simple yet adorable. Not forgetting the self compiled CD... listening to it now.... I'm in Heaven full of Love...... Happy Valentine to all!!! And to my Love who sent this gift.... Thank you very much dear!!!!

Born In The Year Of A Pig!

pig poster

I was born in the year of the Pig, to be exact the Metal Pig. Let see what this coming Lunar New Year horoscope have in store for me. Thanks to Master Chin for the readings and forecast (forecast - to calculate or predict (some future event or condition) usually as a result of study and analysis of available pertinent data)

Overview:
The Year of the Pig/Boar 2007 looks to be one filled with impatience, mobility, and change. You are likely to travel in 2007, Pig. Whether this means changing addresses, pleasure travel, or business travel, is uncertain. However, this restless feeling will continue throughout this New Year.

Your reading:
The Year of the Pig/Boar 2007 looks to be one filled with impatience, mobility, and change. The zodiac is ripe with information for you, and of all the Chinese horoscopes; yours has the most to do with change. You are likely to travel in 2007, Pig (yup....I will start this year Lunar Calendar abroad...a week long vacation). Whether this means changing addresses, pleasure travel (pleasure? not sure about that but am going for 'religious travel' mid this year), or business travel (my training calendar this year shows that ALL my training will be in UK!), is uncertain. However, this restless feeling will continue throughout this New Year. In addition, transition is in your forecast, from every area of your life there are signs of change -from minor to great (change of body figure? I'm getting obese now..). Luckily, each change reduces the overall negative effect on your feelings. In fact, your Chinese horoscope for the year 2007 is filled with transitions. It's a terrific time to bring a new child into your home (adopted child perhaps... I would love to have one..), to find a new career, or to get married (I pray hard for this!). Any change made has an excellent possibility of leading to good fortune! For Pigs that do not already have such strategies in motion, it is important to find areas of transition. Take a trip, or change your job, or meeting new friends, or anything that will initiate some sort of change for you! This will assist in reducing the overall emotional issues you may face. Switch things around and have a little fun!

Even your romantic relationships are ripe for change in this Year of Boar. This could mean marriage (who's that lucky person???), the end of a current relationship, or the beginning of a new one. Also in your astrology charts is the possibility of an injury or a surgery (touchwood!!! God forbid!!!). Be careful and watch for any signs of a medical issue so you can be prepared. Another warning to take heed of, Pig, is that you are a bit on the pessimistic side. You worry about everything and it's time to relax and leave those fears behind (I'm a 'worry' type of person anyway, used to it). Take a trip to ease your emotional turmoil. If possible, go overseas; you'll be surprised at how much it helps! The perfect dates for this will be in Lunar October (means November, 2007)- (how do they know that I'm planning to go for my vacation around this time? Auckland here I come!!!)

Maison-de-Ville-Print-I10094782

Of all the Animals in the Chinese zodiac, Pigs seem to be the most anxious for action in the Year of the Pig/Boar 2007. In fact, you are so anxious to get moving; you may ignore your personal limitations or insufficiently take into consideration what you are capable of. If you do this, you will likely end up in a mess of problems (ooopssss.... am I oversight things?).

The lucky stars, Star Jie Shen and Star Tian Jie, are in your constellation this New Year. Most of the time, these stars aid you when you find yourself in hot water. On the other hand, simply because they are there, you may find yourself in more trouble than normal (I really don't like this.... what type of trouble it might be?). Again, be careful, Pig! This Year of the Pig/Boar 2007 may find it difficult for you to succeed on your own. It is essential to be aware of this and to seek out assistance for important matters. This is specifically true when you are involved in competitions where extra help could mean the difference between a win and a loss. Just remember to embrace the change this year brings to you, Pig, and good things will follow! There you go my 2007 forecast!
